Traveling along the Civil Rights Trail with Professor Suzanna Geiser, Professor Jon Powell ’98 and Assistant Dean of Student Life, Pro Bono Opportunities and Belonging Regina Chavis ’20 as part of the civil rights and reconstruction amendments class.

What was your journey to law school like?

It was very direct. I’m K through JD, and my whole life people have been encouraging me to pursue law and follow in my father’s footsteps. Although law wasn’t my first choice, I’m happy with where I am today.

I interned with Mast Law firm.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in?

I’m currently serving as vice president for the Black Law Student Association (BLSA).

What does your life look like outside of law school? What do you do for fun?

It’s very calm. I travel a lot with my family, but when I’m not traveling I read a lot from a variety of genres. I also watch a lot of anime.

Do you have any advice for current law students or prospective students?

Keep a healthy sleep schedule and don’t be afraid to rely on your peers.
