Education & Human Sciences Achieves 100% edTPA Pass Rate

Taylor Hall

The Campbell University School of Education & Human Sciences is celebrating a major milestone for its future educators.

For the most recent graduating class, Campbell students achieved a 100% passage rate on the edTPA across all content areas, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects the strength of the university’s teacher preparation programs and the dedication of its students, faculty, and staff.

The edTPA (Educative Teacher Performance Assessment) is a nationally recognized, performance-based assessment designed to evaluate a teacher candidate’s readiness for the classroom. It requires students to demonstrate their ability to plan instruction, engage learners, and assess student understanding in real-world teaching environments.

Achieving a perfect pass rate is no small feat.

“This is an outstanding job by our students, faculty, and staff,” said Dean Al Bryant. “A 100% passage rate speaks to the commitment, preparation, and support that define our programs. We are incredibly proud of the hard work our teacher candidates have put in to reach this level of excellence.”

This achievement underscores Campbell’s mission to prepare educators who lead with purpose and make an impact in their communities. Through hands-on clinical experiences, mentorship from experienced faculty, and a focus on both academic rigor and personal growth, students are equipped to enter the classroom with confidence.

For the graduates, the results are more than just a number; they represent months of preparation, reflection, and real-world application in K-12 classrooms. For the program, it affirms a continued commitment to developing highly effective educators who are ready to meet the needs of today’s learners.

As Campbell continues to invest in its students and programs, this milestone serves as both a celebration and a benchmark for future success.
