Tell us about your teaching philosophy/style.
I believe teaching, at its core, should be interactive, enjoyable, and relative to the students. Students should be able to attend a class and walk away feeling like they have learned something important that can be used in daily life. I believe learning should incorporate individualized learning styles for each student. I enjoy teaching and helping other students learn more about themselves and others, so teaching psychology is a perfect fit for me. I am thrilled to be teaching for my alma mater!
What makes the Campbell experience unique?
Campbell is committed to their mission to graduate students who are “prepared for purposeful lives and meaningful service.”
What advice would you give to someone who is considering finishing their degree or starting for the first time as an adult?
You are never too old to learn! I have had great-grandmothers as students in my classroom a few times, and they have proved to other classmates that it’s possible to reach your educational goals! Time management and reaching out for help are important skills.
