Campbell Law advocates participate in National Moot Court Competition
Four Campbell Law advocates will participate in the National Moot Court Competition’s regional rounds on Nov. 15-16 in Richmond, Virginia. Each year, Campbell Law sends two teams to this competition.
Third-year students Brittany Levine and Jennifer Davis are coached by Jaime Williams ’15. Hunt Willis ’13 is coaching third-year students Madeline Lipe, John Ryan and Bailey Kirby. Both coaches were members of Campbell Law’s National Moot Court Team during their time at Campbell Law.
Campbell Law advocates won the 4th Circuit Regional and Best Brief award in this same competition in 2017.
The National Moot Court Competition hosts more than 150 law schools each year in regional rounds throughout the country. The winners advance to the final rounds held at the New York City Bar. This competition is widely-recognized and strives to promote the art of appellate advocacy through intellectual rigor and persuasive argument. This competition allows students to develop and hone their appellate advocacy skills by arguing in front of prominent members of the profession. Students must also write and submit an appellate brief on the issues presented in the transcript prior to the regional round in November.
