Advent Week Three: Celebration

Week 3: Celebration

The season of Advent prepares us for the birth of Jesus. His birth is something to celebrate! In this time that may have us a bit anxious or afraid of what will be, we have the gift of a Savior that is with us. The peace of God guides us in all seasons of life, so we trust God as our strength. As we journey through the holiday season, may we find the room in our hearts for our praise to the Lord. With a year full of experiences, likely covering tremendous moments of joy and extreme moments of pain, we enter this season looking forward to the celebration of having a savior that dwells among us. May you meditate on the words from Philippians 4:4-7. Rejoice even when you are unsure of the days to come, rejoice!

Philippians 4:4-7 New Revised Standard Version

4 Rejoice[a] in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.[b] 5 Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
