Campbell Law advocates competed once again in the Mockingbird Challenge held Oct. 9-12, 2019, and hosted by Faulkner University School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama.

Ethan Carpenter (3L), Alexis Massengill, Katie Orndoff (2L) and Hunter Holtzclaw (2L) finished in the Final Four. The team was coached by Maria Hawkins ’12 of the Miller Law Group. This is the  third time that Campbell Law has finished in the Final Four since the Mockingbird Challenge was first introduced in 2016.

The Mockingbird Challenge is one of the premier fall semester mock trial competitions.  The annual competition  brings elite teams together in a “challenge” style format.  After drawing numbers, competing teams challenge their opponents in the first round.  Student lawyers then meet and woodshed their witnesses just before trial begins.  This invitation-only competition is limited to 20 teams, according to organizers.
