Campbell Law School students posted the third full-length episode of the inaugural Campbell Law Reporter (CLR) Podcast on Wednesday, Nov. 27. CLR is a legal podcast that strives to expand the university’s mission to lead with purpose by reporting with purpose.

In this episode of the Campbell Law Reporter, Host Bailey Kirby ’20 sits down with Campbell Law Professor Robert Montgomery to discuss his experiences arguing in front of the United States Supreme Court. Throughout the episode, Professor Montgomery discusses tips for effective appellate brief writing and what skills every oralist needs to present a strong oral argument. He also provides insights into two cases he argued in front of the high court.

“Being at the court itself, when you are standing there, within a few feet of all these justices … it was very surreal,” he explained.
