Journey to Campbell Law: I’m a first-generation high school graduate. I started off pursuing a career in defense intelligence and earned a master’s degree with that goal in mind, but more direct exposure to defense intelligence changed my mind. I pivoted, and that path eventually led me into a business immigration paralegal role — where I found how rewarding it was to support companies that were creating jobs and solving problems at home. That experience helped me realize I wanted a broader legal toolkit — and that’s what drew me to Campbell.
How you spent your 1L summer: I spent the summer participating in the Sudreau Global Justice Institute’s Global Justice Initiative. For nine weeks, I was in Rwanda and for roughly 10 days I was in Uganda. In Rwanda, I clerked for Supreme Court Justice Richard Muhumuza. My work included researching a case involving fraudulent issuance of diplomas, and contributing to a project on improving judicial efficiency through the use of artificial intelligence. In Uganda, I participated in pretrial detention relief efforts to help address court backlogs. I also negotiated plea bargains on capital offense cases with local prosecutors and the accused.

Campbell Law involvement: Associate Editor of the Campbell Law Review, Volume 48, Property Law Scholar and Themis representative.
Life outside of law school: Proud dog dad. I love to play guitar. I am an avid fitness enthusiast — swimming, weight lifting and yoga are my main exercises.
