Why did you choose Campbell Law?
I chose Campbell because of the amazing student body and staff. Everyone was so welcoming and always willing to extend a helping hand when I needed it. It felt like home from the minute I stepped in the building!
What has been your favorite experience so far at Campbell Law?
My favorite experience so far has been meeting and networking with my peers. They are all so insightful and have so much to offer. It’s been amazing to be surrounded by so many incredible individuals!
What was your journey to law school like?
My journey to law school was very unconventional. I began my undergraduate studies majoring in biology and political science with the hopes of going to medical school. I learned very quickly that was not the place I could see myself thriving and turned to my political science major for refuge. Through many conversations with my amazing professors at UNC-Charlotte, I learned a little more about what law school really meant and how to go about the process of becoming a law school student. As a first-gen law student, I owe everything to my knowledgeable professors and amazing family!
How did you spend your 1L summer?
I spent my 1L summer learning and working in estate law at the Law Offices of Amy W. Osborne in Cary, North Carolina.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
I am involved in the VITA Pro Bono Project, Women in Law (WIL), Peer Mentoring and I am a Themis representative.
What does your life look like outside of law school? What do you do for fun?
Outside of school I spend a ton of time with my two sweet puppies Scottie and Barkley. I also love to spend time with friends and family and travel whenever possible!
Do you have any advice for students or prospective students?
My advice would be don’t be so hard on yourself. Make friends, connect with people and get involved. You will see that having a support system of people who know exactly what it’s like to be a law student can be so helpful.
