CPHS Alumna starts her own business and is still building her venture

Name: Crystal Nicole Meadows

Degrees & Graduation Year: Pharmaceutical Science 2013

Current Job Title: Validation Specialist

Practice Site: Barry Wehmiller Design Group

Job Description: Validation Specialist responsible for providing cGMP-compliant services to clientele in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

How did CPHS prepare you for your current position: The mandatory CPHS internship prepared me the most because it gave me an opportunity to understand the demands for my degree in the industry.

How did CPHS impact you as a person: CPHS taught me how to keep people first. I’m honored to be a part of an industry that is patient centric.  CPHS taught me to remember that at the end of the day it’s ALL about the patient. I will be the face of the pharmaceutical industry for some, and I want to be a face that’s trustworthy. CPHS taught me to live with integrity.

What were you involved in at CPHS: I was involved in ISPE and intramural basketball. Yes, basketball was not a part of CPHS but was nice mental break!

What do you look forward to most when you come back to the Creek: Feeling at home! The creek may be growing but the people possess southern hospitality like no other.

Most impactful CPHS faculty/staff member/preceptor: Mike Gallagher, hands down, was my biggest inspiration, cheerleader, teacher, and friend while I attended Campbell University. He never hesitated to take time out of his schedule to review work, teach, and to encourage my fellow classmates and me. His patience with students is unprecedented, and I am beyond grateful he was my advisor while I attended Campbell University.

Business Venture: Krush Careers LLC is a company that my business partner, Sherlonda Martin, and I birthed. It is a company that equips college students (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors) with the ability to transition from college to the corporate environment. Learn more at krushcareers.com.
