Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

On Tuesday, January 2, 2019, I woke up, got all dressed up and headed to Smith Hall for the DPT orientation day. That was the first time I meet all my classmates and faculty members. Since then, my cohort has gone through some through times: losing family members, faculty leaving, and spending a full year in online/hybrid classes due to a worldwide pandemic. But we managed to pull through. We supported each other in our time of need and gained new faculty members over the past year. We survived online classes and flourished in the hybrid model. Finally, we took our last test of PT school earlier this week and are officially ready to tackle our long-term clinicals. Though we could not celebrate this big milestone in person, I’m sure each of us celebrated it on our own way.

So, class of 2021, my cohort, this is not farewell but see you later. I know many of us will be spread out across the country during the next eight months, but I hope we all remember where our journey started and where it’s going. Good luck everyone and see you at graduation!
