My Christmas Tree | A poem

As I look at my Christmas Tree
What a sight to see
My Christmas Tree means a lot to me
The lights remind me of thee

Light of long ago when
Christ was born and wrapped
In swaddling clothes
My Christmas Tree with all its lights
Reminds me of Jesus who said
I am the light No one comes
To the Father except through me

So when you see a Christmas Tree
I hope it means to you what
It means to me
Jesus was born to save you and me.
