National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services in the Carolinas
A Federal advisory committee made up of rural health experts will be coming to the Carolina’s September 10-12th. The committee has the opportunity to provide recommendations to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. These meeting will be giving a voice to rural communities and expressing calls to action from the department of HHS.
It would be a great opportunity to be a part of these conversations, as they are open to the public. If you are interested in attending, the meeting in Charlotte, NC will take place on September 10th with a focus on the rural implications on oral health as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and continues with a visit to a pulmonary rehabilitation clinic in Lenoir, NC on September 11th.
