Physician Assistant Practice Faculty: Ramona Albrecht
What is your role at Campbell?
Assistant Professor and Clinical Skills Course Director with the awesome Physician Assistant (PA) Program.
What are your research interests?
I am still working on developing this area, but working with high school students and getting the community more aware of the Physician Assistant profession and hands only CPR.
What have you gained from working at Campbell?
An amazing working family, opportunities to work with other health professions and the underserved communities.
What are the accomplishments, passions, and experiences that you bring to the Campbell family?
My passions are for my family and friends, farm and rescue animals, traveling, living life to its fullest potential and laugh often, and the small communities, since I was born in a small town in Romania. I have keen sense of detecting domestic violence in patients. I am involved also with the Brain Aneurysm Foundation as a brain aneurysm survivor, the Be The Match National Marrow Donor Program in honor of a fellow PA friend who lost his battle to Leukemia, and as an advocate for patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and other rare disorders. Furthermore, I am a proud first generation college student, being the first in my family to go to college as far back as my great-grandparents.
What is your educational experience?
Master in Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies from Wake Forest University; Certified and Licensed practicing Physician Assistant with Emergency Medicine, Trauma, and Urgent Care experience; AHA certified Instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
