I completed a job shadowing with the hospital in the winter and was invited to participate in the internship program

Campbell has helped prepare me for this experience by allowing me to develop professional skills that are necessary in the pharmaceutical industry. My chemistry classes were also helpful because they allowed me to recognize different types of drugs and how they interact.

𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓭𝓲𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓷 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹? 

I learned about many different types of drugs, including their forms and strengths. One of my roles as an intern is the inventory assistant. I am tasked with checking in orders, shelving products, verifying counts, pre-packing drugs, and filling patient-specific orders. This role exposed me to the numerous amounts of drugs we carry in the hospital pharmacy and how they are used to treat patients.

𝓗𝓸𝔀 𝓭𝓲𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓰𝓻𝓸𝔀 𝓭𝓾𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓮𝔁𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮?

During this experience, my confidence as a whole grew. I became more confident working with pharmacy personnel and learning hospital procedures.

Do not be afraid to ask questions! Asking questions is how you learn and gain experience. No one is going to judge you for asking a million questions a day.
