Winter preparedness reminders as potential ice storm nears

With several weather models pointing toward a weekend of heavy freezing rain and ice, followed by several days of below-freezing temperatures, Campbell University officials are working to keep the campus community informed, prepared and supported. University leadership is actively monitoring conditions, and Facilities staff are taking precautionary steps, including treating sidewalks, checking emergency equipment and coordinating closely with Campus Safety.

In the event of a power outage on Campbell University’s main campus in Buies Creek, the Oscar N. Harris Student Union will remain open and available to students, and Dining Services will continue operating.

Additionally, the University shared the following information and advice to help those affected by the forecasted storms:

Stay informed

  • Monitor your Campbell email, CU Notify text alerts, the University website and official social media channels for updates on class schedules, dining hours and campus operations.
